Falling in Love. Why bother?

Why do people fall in love anyway? I mean sure it is a wonderful feeling, it's completely out of the world. But when you look it with my Reality Glasses, falling in love, maybe isn't so heavenly afterall. Here are a few reasons why I think, maybe people shouldn't fall in the first place.

1. The Person

Right. I'm super Miss Picky because when I fall, I don't wanna JUST fall for anyone. I want someone who would make things last. It's not just how he looks, it's his attitude. I love someone with hopes and dreams. Someone who's passionate about life. Someone who cares. Someone who understands. And most importantly, someone who knows how to treat a lady right. Arghhh I want so many things. So meeting THAT person, in the first place, is a bother. So how? Fall in love with myself lah better.

2. The Timing

Great. Let's say you've found that person. He's ALL you ever wanted. And his love is ALL you need. And he loves you all the same. BUT he's attached. BUMMER. What now?

Ok scenario number two. Now here's a guy who loves you with all his heart. And he could be that one person you've been waiting for. But YOU don't quite fancy him. Not right now. ANOTHER bummer. So it's not that simple. Why can't life be more simple?

Timing, is very very essential in love.

3. The Relationship

Alright let's just say you've met your soulmate at the perfect time and nothing could go wrong.

But relationships... relationships are soooo frustrating. Compromise, honesty, trust, sacrifice. SO much to practise when in a relationship. You're giving up your freedom. Giving up some alone time. Giving a lot to gain love. Sometimes it works out fine.

But sometimes it makes you think twice: Is she/he REALLY worth it?

4. The Heartbreak

SOMEONE is bound to hurt in love. Even married couples. Married people aren't lovey dovey continuously for 50 years. The fights. The cheating. The lies. That's the ugly truth about life and about human beings. And heartbreaks SUCK. It hurts when someone cheats on you. It hurts when your lover loses his feelings for you. It hurts when you experience unrequited love. It hurts that it hurts more for YOU than for him.

So here are 4 good reasons why we shouldn't bother falling in love in the first place. :/

But then again, why do we put ourselves through so much trouble?

Because there are a MILLION and one reasons to love compared to just a meagre FOUR reasons to NOT.

Because at the end of the day, you want someone to listen.

Someone to laugh with.

Someone to cry with.

Someone to hold you when it's cold outside.

Someone to feed you when you're too lazy to even pick up a damn spoon.

Someone to share your life with.

Someone to tell you how beautiful you look even without all that make up.

Someone, to hold your hand when you're 6o and old.

Sooooooo... falling in love. What say you?
